The first Marvel’s Avengers gameplay footage is finally revealed at Gamescom 2019, as the original line-up of the team is shown battling against armed mercenaries in San Francisco. Marvel’s Avengers was announced in 2017 as The Avenger’s Project, but it was later renamed in 2019 and footage from the story was shown at E3. Marvel’s Avengers follows a version of the team that is similar to the one from the MCU, with a line-up consisting of Black Widow, Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor....

Marvel is working on bringing mutants into the MCU, but when will their X-Men movie release? Marvel Studios unveiled their entire MCU Phase 4 slate at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and among those announcements were teases at the future of the franchise, specifically regarding the introducing of mutants and the Fantastic Four. There is surely a temptation within Disney in order to make the X-Men a part of the MCU as quickly as possible, but plans are already underway for the next two years worth of MCU movies and TV shows....

Thurott reports Microsoft has updated its 365 product roadmap with mention of Files On-Demand finally rolling out to macOS users. Initially offered as a preview in September of last year to Mac users, no formal word was made by the company as to when users should expect a widespread release. While the site reports not all users are seeing the macOS version available, the rollout (which began yesterday), should hit most users in the coming weeks....

Microsoft Outlook for iOS is being updated today with a new design. What you’ll see isn’t a dramatic change, mostly ‘subtle changes here and there’ – with one exception, borrowed from the Android app … The Verge reports that Microsoft is bringing in the blue header design initially used only on Android. Microsoft has also shared that it’s working on a more visible change. “The blue was not there [on iOS],” says Miles Fitzgerald, who leads the mobile design for Outlook....

Microsoft bought the task management app Wunderlist back in 2015, and today the company has released the first public preview of its eventual replacement called To-Do. Microsoft’s new To-Do app is available to try on iPhone now, and preview versions for iPad and Mac will soon follow. Microsoft says the Wunderlist team has built-in intelligent suggestion features and integrated the new service with Office 365: Wunderlist users won’t need to switch just yet, but Microsoft already has an importer so users can migrate to the new app now:...

The Midsommar trailer offers the first look at writer-director Ari Aster’s horror movie followup to Hereditary, starring Jack Reynor and Florence Pugh. Aster made the jump to feature-length filmmaking last year with Hereditary, which is currently A24’s second-highest grossing film in the U.S. after Lady Bird. The horror-thriller was widely celebrated by critics for its nightmarish storyline and visuals, in addition to Toni Colette’s performance as the head of a family beset by a series of tragic and disturbing incidents....

The new trailer for Laika’s Missing Link has arrived. Laika was founded in 2005 and went on to release its first stop-motion animated feature, Coraline, four years later. The film (an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel) was a success on all front and established Laika as an animation studio with a knack for telling quirky and otherwise unconventional stories. They would go on to enjoy similar success with the films ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, and (to a lesser degree) The Boxtrolls....

Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty wrote in a note to clients issued yesterday (via Fortune) that U.S. consumers are expect to buy more iPhones in the first calendar quarter of 2012 than even the holiday quarter this year. This is noteworthy as the holiday quarter has traditionally been Apple’s strongest three-month sales period. In an interview earlier this year, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple’s “greatest contribution to mankind” will be related to health. Now, Morgan Stanley has outlined several ways in which Apple can expand its role in healthcare. In the note, obtained by Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley explained that the market opportunity for Apple’s healthcare efforts ranges from $15 billion to $313 billion in revenue by 2027. Joker from the Batman franchise is being added into the roster of Mortal Kombat 11, and a new trailer has been released on YouTube showing off gameplay. Mortal Kombat 11 was developed by NetherRealm Studios and released on May 10th, 2019. The game uses a heavily modified version of Unreal Engine 3. Mortal Kombat 11 has received generally favorable reviews but, despite its incredible visuals and tight gameplay mechanics, was criticized very heavily for its use of microtransactions....

Made in Abyss is a series about an orphan girl named Riko who scavenges the rim of a colossal pit, the Abyss, around which her city has been built. The Abyss holds incredible treasures from bygone ages as well as titanic and deadly monsters. The farther one travels down into the pit, the more dangerous it becomes - and the worse the effects become when ascending back to the surface. Shortly after discovering a strange, robotic boy in the pit, Riko receives a message from the depths of the pit from her mother, an explorer long thought to have perished in an attempt to reach the bottom of the pit....
