Cannon-Brookes took to Twitter to announce that the Brookfield-led consortium, which includes Grok Ventures, Cannon-Brookes’ private investment company, is “putting our pens down”, after the Australian energy giant rejected a second takeover bid. “Our path was the world’s biggest decarbonisation project. NCC Group researchers have so far seen five instances in their client base of active exploitation of Log4Shell in MobileIron, noting that the “global scale of the exposure appears significant.” In a blog post updated on Wednesday, the company shared a screenshot of a Shodan search showing 4,642 instances around the world. NCC Group Global CTO Ollie Whitehouse told ZDNet that Shodan isn’t real-time but that there has been a small drop in total systems since yesterday....

Mophie announced on Tuesday that its latest juice pack for iPhone 5, an ultra-thin, 1500mAh battery case that the company said is 13 percent thinner than its popular previous-generation juice packs. Mophie is making the $79.95 case available to loyal customers while supplies last on its website, and the battery case will give you around six extra hours of talk time, Internet use, and video playback, and up to 30 hours of audio playback....

Further tests have confirmed early suggestions that the new radio tech in the iPhone XS significantly boosts data speeds on both Wi-Fi and LTE when compared to last year’s iPhone X. The app also includes an in-app subscription of $14.99 (or $2.99 a month) that provides in-game audio. However, if you are a huge fan, you can pay the $120 a year subscription for in-game video. Marvel Television issues an official response to the end of their partnership with Netflix, thanking fans for their loyalty and promising that the story of the Marvel Netflix heroes is far from over. Microsoft has announced a new project management app for premium, business and educational subscribers to Office 365, simply known as Microsoft Planner. The company says that access to the new app will roll out over the ‘next several weeks.’ The addition of Planner to the Office 365 lineup introduces a new and improved way for businesses, schools and organizations to structure teamwork easily and get more done. With Planner, teams can create new plans; organize, assign and collaborate on tasks; set due dates; update statuses and share files, while visual dashboards and email notifications keep everyone informed on progress....

Microsoft announced today on their Office blog that the Office Mobile app for iPhone is now available in Apple’s App Store. However, in order to use it, you will need a subscription to Office 365 Home Premium or Office 365 ProPlus. So, the Office Mobile for iPhone is free only for those that already have an account. And for those who can’t afford it or don’t think it’s fair to pay that much, it’s just unreachable....

Moto E revolutionized the budget android smartphone segment in India and elsewhere. Android smartphones in this segment were known to lag and provide horrendous user experience thanks to cheap hardware and unoptimized software. Motorola’s decision to run the near stock Android OS on a decently powered device helped the cause as well. Moto E 2015 will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
