It hasn’t been a month since Marvel laid out their post-Infinity Saga plans at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and yet, studio president Kevin Feige is up for another appearance again in this year’s D23 Expo at the end of August. Here’s every reveal we expect from Marvel’s panel at the Disney convention. With Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Endgame culminating the 22-film arc that the MCU was treading since 2008’s Iron Man, and Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Far From Home serving as an epilogue, the franchise is currently in a transformation phase....

Marvel’s universe is jam-packed with gods and demons, but Absolute Carnage: Immortal Hulk #1 has revealed what may be the most powerful evil force of them all. The One-Above-All, Marvel’s almighty celestial being (who may or may not be Jack Kirby himself), finally has its opposite in the aptly-named One-Below-All. This figure apparently has ties to the symbiote god Knull, the promised big bad of Absolute Carnage, and may possibly be connected to every evil in the entire Marvel universe....

The lead writer for Mass Effect and other popular Bioware titles, Drew Karpyshyn, has left the company to join Wizards of the Coast’s Archetype Entertainment. The longtime Dungeons and Dragons developer has only recently revealed new details about its new video game creation studio, which is based out of Austin, Texas, saying that the company is currently in the process of building a multi-platform roleplaying game set in an all-new science fiction universe....

The genre of multi-modality, as these neural networks are called, is seeing a flurry of activity in which different data, such as image, text, and speech audio, are passed through the same algorithm to produce a score on different tests such as image recognition, natural language understanding, or speech detection. And these ambidextrous networks are racking up scores on benchmark tests of AI. The latest achievement is what’s called “data2vec,” developed by researchers at the AI division of Meta (parent of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp)....

A senior Microsoft spokesman dismissed the iPad Pro as nothing more than a companion device, contrasting it with the Microsoft Surface when speaking to TrustedReviews. Laycock also said that “at one point in time, Apple declared that if there’s a stylus, that’s failure” – a reference to a quote by Steve Jobs when referring to early smartphones. Apple, of course, argues that the Apple Pencil as an optional accessory for some tasks is very different to a device which cannot easily be used without a stylus....

When Mindhunter dropped on Netflix, the show was an instant hit. It was created by Joe Penhall and is directed by David Fincher. It was based on the famous book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. Douglas was an FBI agent who inspired characters in The Silence of the Lambs and Criminal Minds. The 19 episodes of Mindhunter have taken liberties with the book, which is probably why the main character Holden Ford is not directly named Douglas....

The superhero movies Morbius and New Mutants are attempting to cross over into horror by adapting traits of the genre and marketing themselves as crossover (or even just straight up horror) movies; is this a smart idea? The rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Universe have plunged superhero movies into the forefront of mainstream media. The movies make insane amounts of money, the franchises have limitless potential for crossovers, and the merchandising is endless....

Windows (8) Update Notifier Download Windows (8) Update Notifier, unzip it and run WindowsUpdateNotifier.exe. The utility icon lives in the Notification Area on the Taskbar. It will check for updates and display a notification of what’s available. By default it searches for new updates every hour....

The Manifest season 1 finale ended with a bang when one of the show’s main characters was shot - but who was it? Manifest season 2, which will air in spring 2020, will reveal what really happened in that pivotal moment. Until then, the identity of the character who was shot will remain a mystery. NBC’s Manifest focuses on the lives of several airline passengers whose flight mysteriously landed five years after takeoff....

Thus far Captain Marvel has taken out her teammates with somewhat unsurprising success, but she was definitely not prepared for this particular fight. For whatever other reasons, presumably Vox Supreme (a combination of a mutated Kree and the Kree Super-Intelligence) chose Captain Marvel to take out her teammates because he believed that she would succeed where many others have failed....

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) wasn’t always supposed to get his eye back during Avengers: Infinity War. Over the last two years, the god of thunder has gone through quite the transformation. Taika Waititi saved the Thor franchise by giving the character a much-needed overhaul in Thor: Ragnarok, both in terms of his personality and appearance. His golden locks were shaved, Mjolnir destroyed, and — at the very end — his returned sister Hela cut out his eye....

Losing its Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director is only the latest in a growing list of problems for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel’s Phase 4 was already off to a bad start (before even getting fully underway) when James Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in summer 2018, and complications for Marvel’s future have continued to crop up ever since, despite a fully booked slated of movies and TV shows releasing over the next few years....

The first hints that showed changes coming in the Avengers’ leadership occurred in Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings when Shang-Chi met Wong, Captain Marvel, and Hulk, and they talked about planning for possible emergencies....

An all-new original team of Marvel Super Heroes has been revealed as part of the Thailand Gaming Show, dubbed Marvel’s Warriors of the Sky and consisting of four new, original heroes representing four distinct nations of Southeast Asia. The four heroes–War Tiger, Blue Dragon, Sun Bird, and Shadow Shell–join fictional K-Pop star Luna Snow and Crescent & Io as the latest Marvel original characters created for MARVEL Future Fight. The team’s collective insignias had been previously teased during New York Comic Con, but their full identities, homelands, and backstories have now been released....

. The Verge has what it says are previews of Microsoft Office for the two platforms that own 90 percent of the smartphone and tablet markets. The report notes “Very basic editing” will be enabled on the apps, but it doesn’t sound anywhere near the functionality of iWork apps or even Google’s Docs in their current forms. Folks should expect iOS apps in late February and Android versions a month or so later, and you’ll need to pay for an Office 365 plan....
