Microsoft started testing its xCloud gaming platform on iOS in February, but things have been complicated since then. The company announced today that it’s ending tests with xCloud on Apple’s mobile operating system due to strict App Store policies. Update: An Apple spokesperson told Business Insider that the reason xCloud and other gaming platforms are not allowed on the App Store is because the company can’t review every single game included in those apps....

Clint is seemly just wanting to enjoy his family again during the Christmas season, but a vigilante looking a lot like Barton’s Ronin suit starts showing up in NYC....

2017 is not only set to be a big year at the box office for Marvel, but for their TV arm as well. Inhumans will be joining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and ABC, and recently cast Game of Thrones alum Iwan Rheon as Maximus the Mad. Meanwhile, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher will all be joining the Netflix corner of the MCU, with the former debuting in under a month....

Nothing can stop Juggernaut, except maybe a Krakoa gate. Disney+’s Super Bowl ad gave viewers a first look at the platform’s upcoming Marvel TV shows, but it also revealed a new look for Marvel Studios’ logo. As it does every year, the Super Bowl was packed with commercials and trailers of some of the biggest brands, including (obviously) Disney and Marvel. Chipmaker Marvell announced today that it has become “the industry’s first silicon vendor to develop a fully supported SDK” for Apple’s new HomeKit home automation platform, supplying a full hardware and software platform to accessory manufacturers. As part of the support, Marvell has an SDK for HomeKit that includes a “88MC200 microcontroller, advanced Avastar 88W8801 Wi-Fi SoC and EZ-Connect software.” We previously reported that chipmakers had started providing small quantities of wireless chips to some companies for HomeKit products, but this is the first time a silicon vendor has announced a complete HomeKit software and hardware solution for developers:...

Subverse, a porn game being developed by FOW Interactive, managed to make gaming history by becoming one of the most successful video game Kickstarters ever. The game, which is a heavily Mass Effect-inspired porn title that will combine light tactical RPG/SHMUP gameplay with a way bigger focus on engaging in various sexual escapades with the game’s wide array of characters. The developer has made it very clear in the Kickstarter campaign that Subverse will be about hardcore sex scenes first, with the various other sci-fi trappings like character dialogue and tactical decision-making serving mostly to set up those scenes and create investment in what’s occurring in them....

At work my team was surprised just how effective MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) was when we ran into a PC from our sales team member who had their PC just FULL of viruses and malicious code. McAfee, which is our corporate standard scanned the PC but couldn’t find a single virus on it. For grins, I installed MSE and guess what – it found about ten different types of malware and viruses....

MLB has clarified a somewhat ambiguous Kansas City Star report that it told Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost that he must not use his Apple Watch during games. The organization told MarketWatch that Yost was merely reminded that the watch must not be connected to his phone during games.
