You can now add the German mobile app firm 6Wunderkinder GmbH to the growing list of companies with iOS apps that Microsoft has bought in recent months. 6Wunderkinder makes the popular cross-platform Wunderlist task manager for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. According to The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft has spent somewhere in the ballpark of $100-$200 million for the firm. Since CEO Satya Nadella took control of the company from now-retired Steve Ballmer last year, Microsoft has bought several popular apps and services for the iPhone and Mac....

People familiar with Microsoft’s plans have told Bloomberg that the tech giant plans to significantly reduce the cost to PC manufacturers to license the latest version of its operating system. The move is said to come after fierce competition from Apple and Google have hurt Windows-based PC sales. Previously each Windows 8.1 license for a tablet or PC would cost the manufacturer $50. The upcoming drop will bring that down to only $15....

It took nearly 20 years for Edward Norton to direct a second feature film after the 2000 comedy Keeping The Faith. Coincidentally, it took the same amount of time for Norton to eventually make Motherless Brooklyn, a labor of love film noir set in 1957 New York. Norton bought the rights to the Jonathan Lethem novel in 1999 and finally released the movie in 2019. Unfortunately, more people missed the movie than saw it when it hit theaters this past November....

Marvel is celebrating 100 days until Black Widow opens in theaters. It might not be an event on the level of Avengers: Endgame, but Natasha Romanoff’s solo film hitting theaters is still an occasion worthy of commemorating. For years, it seemed like Black Widow and Hawkeye were going to be the only members of the MCU’s original Avengers to never get their own movie or TV show. And yes, Hawkeye’s series isn’t scheduled to premiere on Disney+ until late 2021, but Natasha’s movie will serve as the first official installment in Phase 4....

Hulu’s Runaways series has Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano), an actress of Japanese descent, but this character and her show are only loosely connected to the MCU and won’t be in any of the films or Disney+ shows....
