Meghan Markle has threatened to launch a lawsuit over the paparazzi picture of her and Archie. The actress has already gotten off to a rocky start with the Canadian media after she told them not to take pictures of her.
The Royal Family is going through a transitional phase but has long been viewed as indispensable in the UK, holding up centuries of customs and pride. That said, Markle has felt the brunt of criticism aimed at the Royals recently. She has been blamed for the rift in the Royal Family between her husband and Prince William, as well as the main reason Prince Harry has agreed to step aside from his duties.
Prince Harry had only just landed in Vancouver, Canada when the media caught a photo of him leaving the commercial airplane carrying his own luggage while sporting jeans and a beanie. According to TMZ, the royal couple believed that they would have more privacy after they left the United Kingdom and the royal family behind. But even after packing their bags and moving across the Atlantic Ocean it would seem the couple is still struggling to gain the privacy and protection; they both yearn for.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have met with their lawyers and have reportedly threatened to sue the media over pictures taken of Markle and Archie while they took a stroll on a beach in Canada. The picture showed the mother walking with the families two dogs on the island where they are currently staying. The couple has already sent a cease and desist letter on January 21st to the British media outlets that say legal action will be taken in any of the pictures of published or purchased. For the prince, the media attention was a constant flashback to how he lost his mother in the tragic accident back in 1997. The letter in question says that the family believes there are safety concerns about how the paparazzi are driving and the “risk to life they pose.”
Currently, Prince Harry is waging war against numerous media outlets back in the UK Back in October of 2019, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the prince had decided to take legal action in regard to an illegal interception of his voicemail messages. The couple is also fighting against a tabloid for an invasion of privacy. The prince has said multiple times that he fears history will repeat itself and he will lose someone close to him due to the paparazzi stalking their every move. He urged the media to start treating him and his wife as if they are real people and to stop treating them as if they are a business commodity.
