Microsoft has updated its preview version of Office 2016 for Mac with several new features and a number of bug fixes. It has also launched two companion apps for the iPhone, Office Delve (above) and Office 365 Video.

Office 2016 for Mac allows meeting attendees to use Outlook to propose new times for meetings to which they’ve been invited, and allows organizers to modify proposed meetings and send updates. Word gets macro recording, online template search and new proofing tools. Excel is given new analysis tools and a “solver” feature. Powerpoint gets bug fixes and better support for VoiceOver …

The full changelog can be found on the Microsoft site. The first preview of the new productivity suite was released last month with support for Retina displays, full-screen modes and cloud syncing between platforms.

The company has also launched Office Delve for iPhone and Android, a mobile app that lets you know when shared documents have been updated and allows you to view them on your phone. Project team members can also check who else is involved in working on a document, and share documents with other people. The app requires Office 365.

Office 365 Video for iPhone is described as “a video portal for communicating ideas and concepts within your organization.” It allows you to watch videos, record & upload new ones and see which videos are popular and trending. The app requires an Office 365 Enterprise or Academic subscription license.
