In the latest round of iPhone 6 images, NowhereElse.fr has a new set of photos showing a selection of SIM trays, home buttons, speakers and vibrator motors. The SIM trays are once again show in the same three colors as the iPhone 5s, silver, gray and gold. It seems like the gray is of a slightly lighter shade than the Space Gray of the iPhone 5s, but the quality of the pictures makes it difficult to tell for sure. What is very noticeable is the curved edge to the SIM tray, which will make a seamless line with the iPhone 6’s curved edges, seen countless times before. For the internal components, the site indicates that the internal speaker is larger in physical size than in previous iPhones. Although size is not the only factor in determining the sound of speakers, it is possible that this indicates the iPhone 6 will offer sound quality (or simply louder volume). As shown by the last photo, the design of the vibrator motor has changed significantly. However, it is very likely that the effect on the end-user is unchanged and the change in parts is simply necessary to accommodate the new internal layout of the phone.
Apple is expected to announce the new 4.7 inch iPhone at a press event on September 9th, which will go on sale a couple of week later. Rumors indicate that a 5.5 inch variant of the iPhone 6 will also be released, but the timeline for that product is unclear with many supply sources quoting delays.
