While we wait for the new client, Microsoft continues to update its legacy Lync for Mac 2011 client. This week Microsoft released what it calls the “July 2015 Update” version 14.1.1 aka KB3074981. This latest releases of Lync for Mac 2011 includes over a dozen bug fixes and other updates. Although it’s not the rewrite we’re all waiting for, it’s a welcome release being that we’ve not seen an update to the client since March....

Microsoft has today shared that it will be releasing Minecraft: Education Edition for iPad to enrich classroom learning around the world next month. Announced in a blog post, Microsoft said that students will be able to create, experiment, and document their learning with Minecraft: Education Edition on iPad. This also includes the recent Update Aquatic that was released this summer. Microsoft notes that teachers who haven’t implemented Minecraft in their classrooms yet can get going with a tutorial and other free resources on how to leverage the education edition....
The giant skeleton in 2014’s Godzilla could be the key to Mechagodzilla’s creation in Godzilla vs. Kong. Though it’s not been made official, Mechagodzilla is expected to appear in Godzilla vs. Kong, thanks to a leak from a toy convention in Hong Kong. An action figure with an updated design of Mechagodzilla points to the robotic kaiju making his MonsterVerse debut in 2020. Earlier this week Apple’s director of AI research Russ Salakhutdinov made an appearance at a machine-learning conference to announce that Apple will allow its researchers to freely publish their findings, a rare move for the normally secretive company. From Business Insider: it activated 400,000 to 500,000 3G iPads during Q2 (Which is in two months since the 3G didn’t ship until April 30th). It’s “surprising” how many business customers are approaching AT&T about the iPad. Whereas business customers were famously skeptical and reluctant about the iPhone at first — and have since warmed up to it — they are apparently very eager about the iPad. AT&T said a lot of companies have iPad trials going on, and many see opportunities to use the iPad in their business as a laptop replacement....

Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers had a lot to live up to when it was fully revealed at E3 2019, but MCU Avengers fan reactions were mixed due to the heroes’ character designs. These have since been updated with new Marvel’s Avengers character models, some of which have changed the heroes’ looks significantly. After the reveal, some felt Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers designs looked like cheap knock-offs of their MCU counterparts. Throughout the filming of Marvel’s Eternals movie, several set photos have been released showing off characters like Thena (Angelina Jolie), Ikaris (Richard Madden), and Black Knight (Kit Harrington). Filming is still taking place, so more will be released as the process continues. Marvel’s original plans for Avengers: Endgame could have dramatically improved his character journey. The last two Avengers blockbusters essentially presented two different sides to Thanos: the Warrior in Endgame, and the Philosopher in Avengers: Infinity War. It was all done through the use of time travel, with the Thanos of Endgame actually originating from 2014. In theory, this was supposed to create something of a loose - albeit inverted - character arc....

The Windows Team realized it was asking a bit too much of users, and a fix was released to help update devices with low storage capacity easier. Easier Upgrade to Windows 10 1511 on Low Capacity Devices Users should note, this fix is for devices already running Windows 10 that have not been updated to the November Update yet. If you’re still running Windows 8.1, you’ll still have to face the hurdle to get it installed....
